Introducing: Trouble Books

A day in the garden. The sun is up, the snow has melted. Somewhere in the distance, birds are singing, and we smell flowers again. Hello March, welcome spring. It's been a long and cold winter this time.

Akron, Ohio's Trouble Books make just the right music for the upcoming time of year. Dreamy, blissful, with lots of analogue synths and faded vocals, it could be filed next to the other rising acts of the dubious yet wonderful glo-fi/chillwave/hypnagogic pop strand. Still, the songs are not so much worshiping days on the beach in September - rather, it sounds like appreciating a young blossom while wandering through the fields.

The new album, Gathering Tones, will be out on Own Records on 3 March.
